Restorative Nursing

Our facility in the East End also offers restorative therapy 7 days a week for patients who have lost certain physical functions from a long hospital stay or as a way to provide rehab they need after surgery. The goal is to restore all the functions they would normally have, from walking to fine motor skills so they can return to their everyday life. Using a wide array of modalities we customize care to the specific needs of each patient. Restorative therapy focuses on achievable goals and the patient’s current abilities rather than their limitations. Directed and implemented by a registered nurse and specialized aides, restorative nursing focuses on the therapeutic use of simulated life activities to help restore daily living skills.
